Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid inaugurated tunneling work on the Dubai Metro Blue Line in May 2026 . Valued at AED 20.5 billion , the 30km line adds 14 stations (9 elevated, 5 underground) and is planned to open on 9 September 2029 , according to Driven Properties and market analysts .
